What is corrosion protection for liquid deicer? It is the ability of a product to prevent/reduce the corrosive properties of liquid deicers: salt brine, calcium and magnesium chloride. The current deicing market is saturated with agricultural byproducts that are used for corrosion protection. These products characteristics vary from load to load since they are waste products, resulting in the potential to be ineffective.
